The American Society of Ophthalmic Trauma (ASOT) is a national leader in improving all aspects of ophthalmic trauma care. Founded in 2020, ASOT works collaboratively with multidisciplinary trauma systems and specialists to enhance care across the entire casualty care continuum—from prevention and early recognition to treatment and rehabilitation.

Our mission is to preserve sight through education, policy development, trauma systems integration, and evidence-based research. We envision a future where every patient with eye trauma receives timely, expert care that maximizes visual outcomes.
